The Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS (INP+) was established in 1997 by people living with HIV to create a collective platform for advocacy, dignity, rights and meaningful participation. At a time when stigma, discrimination and limited access to treatment affected the lives of people living with HIV, INP+ helped bring community voices into HIV policy and programme discussions.
Over the years, INP+ has worked across advocacy, network building, treatment access, human rights, community mobilisation, capacity building and service delivery. Today, INP+ is strengthening its federation model across southern India, with member organisations working to address the needs of communities at state, district and local levels.
